Motorcycle Shipping Services

If you want to avail of motorcycle shipping services, look for one who knows not only to deliver your motorcycle on the designated date and place, but also one who knows how to take care of it. You wouldn’t like for your motorcycle to have scratches on it and some dents during transit.

Motorcycle shipping is now made easy and convenient with the many businesses that now provide such services. There are a lot of service providers for motorcycle shipping, but you should get one, which you can trust. You will surely lose some sleep if you are not sure that you hired a company that can deliver your motorcycle safely and securely.

When you get a firm that provides motorcycle shipping services, go with an established name. It must be reliable with its promise and commitment to ship your motorcycle on time and deliver it on the specified place in its original condition.

Your precious motorcycle should be well protected during transit. A soft cover is preferred to keep the original finish and protect it from scratches. Soft ties are to be used when strapping the critical parts of your motorcycle. This would give the owner the peace of mind that his motorcycle is well taken cared of.

Insurance should be provided for each shipment, and an option for additional insurance if you should wish. It is also best that there is proper handling given to your motorcycle from pick up to loading to the vans, and until unloading and delivery.

You should also be able to track the status of your motorcycle shipment, so check for this facility before you get the services of a motorcycle shipping firm.

Among the firms in the Internet that provide motorcycle shipping services are motorcycleshippers.com, expressmotorcycleshipping.com, shippingmasters.com, moverquest.com, motorship.com, sterlingvanlines.com, and motorcycleexpress.com

Ask for a quote for each motorcycle shipping services provider, and probe deeper by asking what are the details of the service they provide. What are stipulated in the contract? What are their policies on cancellation of service, on damage of your motorcycle during their care, and on other things, which you feel is due to your side?

It is best that you consult their customer service and sales staff, and discuss the contract item by item if it should not be clear to you. Don’t ever take promises not put into writing. Consider every detail, and have an appropriate clause placed on the contract to address these.

Motorcycle Exhaust and Other Performance Exhaust Systems

Many exhaust performance parts can deliver a power-packed punch to your performance bottom line. In addition to realizing the boost in performance, take a few minutes to visit a performance exhaust web site and check out the sound of vance and hines sounds for yourself before you consider a purchase. In addition to a hot rod sound, many performance exhaust systems deliver signature performance along with the ultimate in style and performance. If you want to do an installation yourself, for the most part, the baffle-mounting hardware will be easy to understand. Try the vance and hines sounds on their website to experience for yourself its unique sound.

This article is going to give you an idea of just the incredible variety of performance exhaust and other aftermarket applications that are available to you. Whether you're a cruiser rider or a Harley fan, there is the right performance exhaust system for you. Many excellent manufacturers offer quality in addition to performance such as flowmaster. I'd like to focus on Harley products for a moment, if I may. Another manufacturer such as cobra can deliver a power-packed punch to your performance bottom line. In addition to realizing a boost in performance, your Harley will set the standard for custom looks with a big radius application that is sure to give the quality and perfection that you expect. Imagine your Harley with a beautiful, curved, 2 1/2" full-coverage heat shield with artistically-scalloped end tips and chrome that is blue-proofed to show room quality! You're sure to be hot on the street with the extra horsepower and torque provided by this great product! The hot rod sound is going to give you signature performance and is the ultimate in style and performance. Your baffle-mounting hardware will be easy to understand and the instructions will assure a hassle-free, perfect fit every time, even if you're an amateur. Most manufacturers offer seamless installation including yoshimura.

Flowmaster exhaust.com has a great website and if your doing an installation yourself consult their site for all the help you need. To mention a couple of their products, the 30-series offers a stupendous, deep, powerful tone and its sound level is a bit quieter outside of the vehicle than the 40-series. The flowmaster tone, with the combination of added volume and unique, low-pressure, balanced-chamber technology, creates a larger, low-pressure area behind the power chamber. You're going to experience a better scavenging of exhaust gases as a result. The system is designed for use on vans, SUV's and trucks, and incorporates 12 feet of aluminized, mandrel, bent tubing with deep, slip-fit connections. You will experience significant torque improvement and this system works well on GM, Ford, and numerous muscle-car applications, as well.

Cobra offers a great new system for Yamaha's new Star Roadliner introduction that took place in 2006. Imagine this fine motorcycle made even better with Cobra's speedster pipes. They have a great, full line of accessories, as well. This company has many new product introductions as do most manufacturers. They have some dragster pipes, which include their limited, lifetime warranty that will match the sound with the brawn! To get the best performance possible, they have a new kind application for the Fi2000R that optimizes the bike's fuel system. Yoshimura also just had a new muffler system released into the market that has now passed approval. Be on the lookout for their new GSX-R750 TRC fuel system, featuring stainless-steel construction that sports a 12" TRC cone-encapped muffler, as well as a low-volume insert. Another hot bike is the 2006 Yamaha FZ1, and Yoshimura delivers a slip-on feature termed "Shorty" that is awesome! It features a hard-mount, aluminum bracket, low-volume insert, and a 10"-inch canister. It retains the same features as the slip-ons with the exception of the muffler, which is a 12-inch canister on the full systems. Either way you look at it, performance exhaust is exciting and you'll be amazed at what technology can do for your Harley or street bike.

Discount Motorcycle Tires Can You Take Advantage of Them?

Picture this scene. You are surfing the net, looking for some extra chrome to stick on your pride and joy (that’s your motorcycle not your 4 year old daughter by the way), when you come across a site selling discount motorcycle tires. Not just discount tires; positively slashed bare to the bone discount motorcycle tires! You think back three weeks earlier, when you had your new tires fitted at your local shop. The little fat bald guy who sells tires told you they were cheap right? You do some quick sums in your head and realise you paid twice as much as the ones advertised on the web. Your blood starts to boil, you start to mutter under your breath, all those unutterables that you definitely don’t want your four year old to hear.

And you swear, there and then, never to buy your tires from the shop in town again. Oh, no, from now on your will order discount motorcycle tires online….

……That’s great, really great. But let me ask you this;

Do you actually know how to fit a motorcycle tire? Because I hate to be the one to shatter your dreams of discount motorcycle tire heaven, but if you don’t know how to change a tire, you could be in an extremely embarrassing situation of asking your local shop to fit discount motorcycle tires that you had the nerve to go and buy behind his back! And how much do you think he will charge you for that dubious privilege? (That much? Now double it friend!)

So a little bit of personal development is in order. Now don’t be put off, you can still take advantage of those cheap tires, you just need to learn how to fit them yourself. And it is not as difficult as it sounds or as high tech as it looks in the tire shop downtown. The difficult bit is actually getting the tire off the rim, and the fiddliest part of that is breaking the bead, which is the seal that the motorcycle tire makes with the rim. Under pressure after a few thousand miles, that tire is going to be well bedded in. But, you can buy a bead breaking set for less than 200 dollars. If you search around you will quickly find some guidelines for building your own tire removal and fitting station. Heck if you are really keen you will find a way of breaking the bead on your motorcycle tire using nothing but a 2” by 4” piece of timber and a pick up truck (I kid you not !) I must confess that last method looked a little risky even for me to attempt.

A word of warning here. Brake discs are expensive. If you do go down this route, dont damage them. Guess what? That is mentioned in every article you find on the net about changing motorcycle tires, and with good reason.

After breaking the bead, a bit of brute force and manhandling (on the tire, not the wife) and you should be able to fit your discount motorcycle tires with pride.

Oh a couple of points, make sure the bead is seated properly around the rim when you put some air in those suckers. All the literature you will find on changing tires will mention this, but if you don’t get the tire seated properly, it could cause some major “issues” later on. And the tire will probably need balancing. Some makes claim they don’t, but most do. That’s all on the web as well.

That’s about it really. The rest is up to you. Do your homework and you too could be taking advantage of all those discount motorcycle tires; one set for winter, one set for summer, one set for track days…

Why Do Bikers Dress The Way They Do?

Most motorcycle riders wear leather – lots of leather. Boots, chaps, vests, gloves, chain wallets, and leather jackets. The reason behind all this leather is not for looks, and it's not to appear threatening. It's all about protection!

There is protection from weather provided by leather. Riding in cool weather gets very cold when you are moving at 55 miles per hour. Even the gentle Florida winter requires protection from winter weather. In fact, I would never know that was Becki getting ready to ride the Toy Run if I didn't recognize the motorcycle! Weather isn't the only issue, however.

True bikers dress to protect themselves in a fall rather than dressing just for the ride. Accidents do happen. You may have to drop a bike to avoid being hit by a car. You may experience a front blow out and lose control. It is possible that even the most experienced rider can drop a bike. I've had to CHOOSE to drop a bike to avoid being run over by a car. The bike and I both survived. I didn't even get road rash since I was wearing leather! I also chose where to drop the bike so it wasn't damaged except for a paint ding.

Bikers learn from experience, both theirs and others. When you see someone who chose to ride in shorts and tee-shirt come in covered with road rash, you know that riding that way is not wise. They dressed for the summer ride and failed to dress for the fall which happened.

That explains the leather jackets and chaps. But why the chain wallets? Motorcycles vibrate somewhat. You climb on and off them. This places stress on the back pocket where a wallet would be carried. Over time, the wallet can drop out unnoticed and not only is money lost, but ID, proof of insurance, credit cards lots of valuable things that take time and trouble to replace. With the chain wallet, this cannot happen. You also do not expose yourself to having a pick-pocket hit you during a crowded motorcycle event!

The leather gloves – often fingerless for summer wear -- make holding handlebars for hours more comfortable. There isn't a cruise control on a motorcycle, although some people rig them up. The throttle is in your hand and you have it turned to the speed you want to go for the entire ride. That wears on the palm and tires the hand. The gloves provide comfort. Mesh and leather are normally used for summer riding, full leather for winter rides. Also, the hands are provided protection from the road in case of a skid, fall, or drop. Road rash on the palms HURTS!

Goggles or eye protection is often the law, but it also makes sense. Think what happens if a bug hits you in the eye at 55 mph! Of course, the goggles or eye protection needs to look cool, but that just because no one wants to wear funny looking glasses. Helmet visors provide the protection in states where helmets are required. A benefit of visors, if you use a full-face visor, bugs don't get in your mouth either! ICK!

Speaking of bugs: leather protects the rider from insect impacts as well. Do you realize how hard a bug is when it hits your body at high speed?? It's painful!! And no one would want that angry insect to sting if it were capable.

Boots are a necessity. If you "almost" drop a bike, often that sturdy boot placed on the ground prevents the potential drop becoming a real accident. Think how your foot would look if you had to steady yourself and your bike wearing thin bottom sneakers? If you ruin a pair of boots because you saved yourself from a fall, it's an investment that paid off! Boots also provide protection from hot exhaust pipes and support the ankles better for mounting and dismounting your ride.

Where helmets are not required, leather skull caps are popular. Sometimes called a "do-rag", these leather bandana-like objects are shaped for the head and tie in the back. This hold hear in place but also provides some protection should you scrape your head during a fall. Of course, if you HIT your head during a fall, only a helmet will provide protection. However, we should let those who ride decide, but most states feel otherwise!

There is a reason for every thing the biker wears. Sure, it looks cool in their opinion, and there is some really beautiful riding gear available. But it's not all about looks. What you wear when you ride can save your life or at least your skin!

Benefit From Buying A Used Harley

Buying a used Harley from a secondhand dealership is not as cool as buying a brand-new ride. It is definitely much cooler. Not to pull your chain or anything, but used Harleys are the bomb. However, few people have the sense to believe and actually practice this when buying their big boy rides. There are definitely some good things about buying a used Harley and you can benefit from knowing these the next time you purchase a new ride.

An advantage in buying a used Harley is the assurance that used Harleys for resale are well-kept and cared for by their previous owners. Possession and ownership of a Harley can be considered as luxury and a status symbol. For this reason, it can be expected that most Harley owners would even spend more money in the maintenance of a Harley than in its purchase.

Although Harleys reign on the road and are more popular than their other counterparts, they are still machines. Like all machines, Harleys depreciate in value. A buyer of a used Harley would pay only half or even less of the cost the former owner paid for the bike when it was bought brand-new. This holds true even if the bike is only a year old -- what more if it is two years old or more?

Aside from the lower costs compared to a new bike, used Harleys also offer big savings in terms of modifications and performance improvement. Think about this -- rarely do riders leave their Harleys in their original state. They add accessories and update motorcycle parts to improve the quality of their ride. These add-ons also cost serious cash with prices ranging from a few hundred dollars to thousands. Fortunately, these add-ons are not easily removed without a major overhaul. Why fortunate? This means that a used Harley is sold with all the additions and added features intact. A buyer is entitled to a savings of a thousand dollars or more in accessories by purchasing a used bike.

An aesthetic improvement like changing the seats or using chrome parts alone can rack up to a several hundred bucks -- topnotch quality would even entail a thousand dollar tag minus the labor involved in the process. By buying a used Harley, you save on the price of the bike and rack up savings on the accessories and labor fees.

Likewise, performance improvement modifications like updating ignitions or cams or carburetors cost just as much or even more. Unlike accessorizing, performance improvement is an investment which the most discerning or riders take seriously. Most of the time, the beauty and power of a modified Harley is more than that of the original. Thus, by buying a used Harley, you get a prime-quality ride for the fraction of the cost of a new bike and the modifications combined. Now, that's what you call one sweet ride.

Used Harley or not, there is really no way other people can tell. Used or not, a Harley is still a Harley and no one could contest this. Since there is really no visible difference, there is only one way to determine which is the best Harley -- by the size of its rider's wallet. Definitely, with all these savings, the owner of the used Harley wins.

Some Great Tips To Help You Choose The Right Motorcycle

When you're getting ready to buy a new bike you have to think about what kind of riding you want to do, how much money you're willing to spend, and how dependable the motorcycle is that you're thinking of purchasing. It's also a good idea to take some special courses about riding a motor bike, if you've never done so before, and to get a special endorsement on your license saying that you have that training.

It doesn't matter if you're a novice or an experienced rider, you still probably have a lot to learn and going to a course can do you a lot of good. Another advantage is that you might get a reduced rate on insurance if you’ve been to one of these courses. In Ohio, the classes are required and it is not legal to operate a motorcycle without the special classification on your license. Check the list of organizations at the end of this article for information about where to take classes.

If you haven't had that much experience, according to one large dealer, it is a good idea to get a smaller bike. They are easier to maintain, and less likely to be seriously damaged in the event of a fall or a minor collision. Large, faster bikes have larger displacement engines and design that emphasize speed over durability in the case of a small collision, so they are not advisable for new riders. For example if you drop a small bike it might cost fifty bucks to fix, but one of the bigger bikes would run you several hundred dollars to fix if the same thing happens.

For those of you with a few years experience under your belt who want to step up to the next level of motorcycling, buy a motorcycle that suits your needs. Do you want to ride on a track, on dirt, or on the open road? How much are you looking to spend? What kind of payments are you able to afford after paying maintenance, gas and insurance? There's most likely going to be a loan agent right there at the dealership that can set you up with a loan. Get approved for a loan and you'll be able to figure out what kind of motorcycle you can afford.

Check in the Internet, magazines, and the dealership and ask your friends what they can tell you about prices and quality of motorcycles within your range. Find out what kind of report the bikes you like are getting from people who ride them every day. Ask around and make sure to get several opinions. It never hurts to hear what other people think.

Compare the benefits of buying new compared to buying a used cycle. New bikes come with a warranty, and old ones may have hidden problems that you can't see before you have ridden them for a while. The advantage, of course, is price.

Is it better to buy a motorcycle from a dealer or from an individual? You can get a good one at a good price from an individual if you're lucky. The advantage of buying from a dealer is that the dealer has a reputation at stake and would not want to sell you a dud. There's a lot to think about. If you're a good mechanic you would be less scared of finding a few problems in the engine, and you might be willing to take a chance. If you don't know much about fixing bikes you might want to play it safe.

How To Avoid Some Of The Biggest Mistakes When Looking For A Motorcycle Loan

When you're buying a motorcycle you need to know about bikes, but you also need to know about how to buy a bike, and that has nothing to do with engines and manufacturing. One important detail where a lot of people that purchase motorcycles go wrong is getting the right loan.

How much the loan agent is willing to loan you is a good way to figure out what kind of bike you can afford to buy. Prices vary a lot between different models, and at the beginning of the year when new models come out they are generally more expensive than at the end of the year when dealers are trying to get rid of old inventory to make space for the next year's models. But through all this one thing remains constant, and that is the fact that if you don't have the cash, you're going to need a loan. Don't fall for the tricks. Remember that you have alternatives to purchasing a loan from the dealer. Don't get caught up in the pressure to buy a bike and forget that this deal is really all about money. You can go to the bank, the Internet, or to a credit union and apply for a loan, so don't let anyone push you around.

The best thing you can do is shop around before you even go into the bike shop, so that you go in there knowing what you're working with. You are now in a position to fight for the best price, but if you don't know what your options are then you have to take the word of the person who is trying to sell you a loan. That is never a good idea.

There are many mistakes that people commonly make, and the person who gives you the loan is apt to make a lot of money off people who don't do their homework before signing on that dotted line. Here are some things to think about:

Be careful about reading the fine print. If there is a special low interest rate for a short period of time, but then the rate increases to a much higher rate (as with many credit cards) it is not advisable to take that deal unless you are surely able to pay off the loan before the high rate kicks in.

If you can't, it is probably a better idea to opt for a different kind of loan, even if you end up paying a higher interest rate. You don't want to get caught with that inflated interest rate at the end of the promotional period.

Another thing is to remember your budget. Don't borrow more than you can afford to borrow just so that you can have a shiny bike. Remember you’re going to have to buy gas, insurance and pay for maintenance, and you have a life to live than involves other expenses as well.

Make sure you know what you're signing. There are a lot of loopholes that a layman misses the first time he reads a technical legal document, and lenders use these loopholes to get you to pay more than what you planned for. What is the time period of the term? Is the interest rate fixed, and if so is it permanently fixed? If not, when can it change and for what reasons? Does it have to be full coverage? What are the registration fees, and what other fees are there? Is there a late payment penalty? Does late payment affect the interest rate? Does the program use simple interest or the rule of 78?

Remember, what you don't know can really hurt your pocket and affect your way of life. It is worth the effort to do the extra research before going out there and buying a bike.

On-Road/Off-Road Safety Motorcycle Face Shields and Eye Protection

As you hop on your Harley-Davidson, Honda or Yahama and take to the open road, it is wise to invest in several pieces of protection. A cycle ride without some of sort of eye and face protection is pretty risky. What is a rider to do when he or she take a pounding from the elements, such as wind, dirt, rain, and dust? Without something to shield the face, such as a face shield or pair of glasses, insects and other nasty debris can obstruct his or her view.

Today, when it comes to choosing shields or a helmet for your motor ride, there are numerous options on the market to choose from. Different styles, colors and designs await a rider, whether they enjoy a motorcycle ride on the adult or junior level. Before choosing a face shield or helmet for your motorcycle gear collection, keep in mind that a helmet with a plastic face shield is one of the best choices you can make. This is because this type of support will protect the entire face. Sometimes motorcycles come with windshields and in this case, a pair of goggles may be best.

When selecting eye protection, you should choose a pair of glasses or goggles that offers a clear view on both sides. The product should be shatterproof, as well as possess an item that is free of scratches. Proper sealing should be taken into consideration so that wind does not cause watering of the eyes. For full-face coverage, there should be strong chin support and absorbing liners. Below are a few brands to keep in mind when you need to protect yourself on and off the busy road.

Scorpion

When it comes to trend setting protective motorcycle gear, some of the best-designed helmets in the world come from Scorpion. From all over the world, motorcycle lovers are using Scorpion helmets. Some of the helpful features that these helmets offer include the EverClear no-fog face shield, which also provides an anti-scratch hardened coating. Scorpion helmets also use a KwikWick moisture-absorbing liner and cheek pads. The convenience also extends to a product that is breathable and can be easily washed.

Nolan

Nolan helmets offer motorcycle riders top-notch protection through its Lexan face shield with desirable UV 400 Protection. With the Vision Protection System (VPS), there is a convenient clear shield, which offers three different positions. There is even extra neck roll to further reduce the effects of wind and noise. For those who suffer from allergic reactions and tend to experience irritation with some of the materials used to construct a helmet, a Nolan option provides an interior with anti-microbial hypoallergenic sanitation.

Vega

Offering nine different convenient face shield colors and sizes, Vega helmets are a great way to fashionable take to the road. The full-face Vega helmet option provides tons of loaded features. The superb construction and materials used to make this great item offers fully vented capabilities in the chin, rear and top areas of the helmet.

When looking for adult sizes, you may choose from XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXL. Junior sizes are offered in S, M and L. When selecting a helmet, the size hat that you wear is an important determining factor. If you wear a size 7-5/8 - 7-3/4 in hat, then you will need an XL motorcycle helmet.

Additional Motorcycle Protection

There are many different protection items that a motorcycle rider may choose. Fulmer provides riders with full-face, open face, half and off-road helmet selections. AGV is another popular helmet brand that is used in many different professional bike-riding tournaments. It must be something about their clear and tinted visors that makes riding both fashionable and safe.

ORV Safety & Motorcycle Safety

Most ATV users whether riding for work or pleasure have little or no formal riding training and tend to think of ATVs as toys. On the contrary, ATVs are rider active vehicles, which means riders must master basic riding skills in order to ride them safely. When given the proper respect, ATVs can be a valuable work tool and provide considerable entertainment.

To insure safety, a rider should take several precautions before attempting to ride an ATV. First, read the owners manual and become familiar with your ATV. Second each rider should make a pre-ride inspection of the ATV, this will gives the new rider an under standing of what is not working properly, and the opportunity to fix these issues. Third, riders should always wear cloths and safety gear while riding any ATV. All riders should know the basic safety rules and have basic riding skills. New ATV riders should always practice riding skills in an open area free of obstructions.

A pre-ride inspection insures that everything on the ATV is adjusted and working properly to prevent a breakdown or even an accident. In a pre-ride inspections check the operator should check tires, wheels, controls, lights, switches, oil, fuel, chain, or dive shaft, and chassis. ATVs should always be equipped with a complete tool kit supplied by the manufacturer.

Safety gear is a must for the ATV rider. The most important piece of safety equipment is the helmet. The operator should always wear a helmet that meets or exceeds safety standards Purchase a helmet that is approved and marked by the Department of Transportation (DOT). A helmet should fit comfortably and always be fastened securely. Riders should wear safety goggles or have a helmet that is equipped with a face shield. Sunglasses should not be used as eye protection.

A well-equipped ATV operator should always wear the proper clothing such as gloves, boots, long pants, and long sleeved shirt. Boots that rise above the ankles offer the most protection and support for the ATV operator. Boots should have heels to prevent your feet from slipping off the foot pegs. Long pants and long sleeved shirts prevent scratches from brush. Serious operators should wear off-road racing gear that has padded areas at the knees, elbows, and shoulders.

Becoming One With Your Motorcycle, Vehicle, Aircraft, Machine or Space Ship

Have you ever strapped yourself into a racecar or tightened up every muscle in your body on a high-performance race bike motorcycle? What if your body became one with the machine and your hands connected themselves physically to the machine? Your body organic became one with the inert structure?

What if your vibrational energy in your body sent messages from your nerves to the nano-tech construction, which sensed ever twitch and move, anticipating them from brain waves and nerve firings; could that be possible; too Sci Fi for you? Well, lets enter the future for a moment shall we? This recently became a topic of conversation with a couple of think tank folks, when Swift from Las Vegas stated;

"An interrelatedness would make driving a lot more fun and I would think it would also make it a lot safer in a comprehension of movement sort of way."

Sure why not driving at the speed of thought. Cut down on reaction time, good for evading enemy missiles in aircraft or dog fighting, good for efficiency and fluidity of motion. Now that is ALWAYS a good thing. I completely concur.

Swift then stated; "Driving a machine seems like of a limited experience as opposed to being one with the machine."

I can tell you in my life I have been one with the running track in competition, one with a motorcycle in racing, one with a jet ski and surfboard on the water, one with an aircraft flying. Sure, I was not connected yet, but in a sense we are connected to everything anyway. I mean waves of energy, light, trading electrons, etc.

So, being one with machine is simple enough. You could have a portal inside your skin or a set of cords to attach, which were 100 percent organic and attach them to sensors or electrodes to pick up brain frequencies?

Ten Reasons You Should Own a Custom Chopper

Custom choppers are the Mercedes of motorcycles, and they are as much fun to own as any super-luxury vehicle. I'm certain that when you see a custom chopper, you wish you had one for youself. Here's ten reasons to buy a custom chopper...

1. FUN! Yes, this is the first and foremost reason. You will have more fun with a custom chopper than just about any other investment you make. Cars are fun, sure, but they simply don't provide the "in the wind" feeling that can only be obtained with a motorcycle and a custom chopper will make people stop and notice – and that's always fun.

2. Resale value. Just like a car, motorcycles depreciate with time. At least stock motorcycles do. But custom rides and antiques don't – in fact they can appreciate if you continue adding value to your ride. 3. Breaking out of the status quo. Just anyone can own a stock motorcycle. Harley dealers have great stock bikes that anyone who has the money can buy. Newspapers abound with ads for stock motorcycles that are being sold by an owner – often because they want to upgrade and get their first custom chopper. That's the status quo in motorcycles. If you want to break away and stand out in the crowd, a custom chopper will do that for you!

4. Custom choppers are accepted by all motorcycle riders. Have you ever noticed that the Harley riders will accept custom choppers that aren't Harley builds much more easily than they will any other type of motorcycle? It's true, if your bike is a custom chop, even if the drive train is not Harley, the Harley rides will not shun you or make nasty.

5. Your custom chopper can reflect your personality. If you purchase a stock bike, there will be hundreds of thousands of people who have exactly the same scoot as yours. With a custom chopper, you can provide input and customization that reflects who you are.

6. Riding comfort is another reason to customize. By choosing the frame, engine, risers, handle bars, saddle and parts that create your custom chopper, you can create the chop that is most comfortable for YOU, the rider.

7. Pizzazz. You can add as much shiny, eye-blinding chrome as you choose; or you can have as little as you choose. If you want lots of fringe, accessories the custom chop to include fringe all over. If you want a very stark, minimalistic ride, you can have that too! How much pizzazz you add is your choice and only your choice!

8. Head turn factor. You can guarantee, no matter what custom chopper design you settle on, you will turn heads. You can add all the "head turn" factor to you chopper you desire. If you want, you can create something that is drop-dead unique and turn every head you encounter. But if you aren't a glutton for attention, you may choose a more simplistic design.

9. Make it solo. If you get sick and tired of the "can I ride with you?" questions and simply don't want anyone to ride behind you, choose a solo saddle design that provides you an excuse, "my bike only rides one – ME!"

10. Ego. Yes, we all have ego, don't we? That's what makes us what to be different to begin with. And a great ego stroke is riding out of your truly unique, one-of-a-kind custom chopper. Just don't let it go to your head! After all, you still want your friends to love you and ride with you!

What if your vibrational energy in your body sent messages from your nerves to the nano-tech construction, which sensed ever twitch and move, anticipating them from brain waves and nerve firings; could that be possible; too Sci Fi for you? Well, lets enter the future for a moment shall we? This recently became a topic of conversation with a couple of think tank folks, when Swift from Las Vegas stated;
